Thoughts on Borgwarner/Bullseye S256 .70

I know SRT4 guys love this turbo and they crack 500whp around 25psi with supporting mods... with that being said, I estimate 420 on any dyno @ 22psi on 93 oct. My build consist of JWT 740cc ecu and cobra maf, JWT S3 cams, Greddy RAS, fully built bottom end .20over, cast exhaust mani, freddy intake mani, tial 38mm wg. profec b ebc. I plan on getting a june style intake mani, maxwork built head,270 cams of some sort and a true standalone in the next year or so. The turbo is the .70 a/r with extended tip and new 4 inch race housing. Just wondering everyones thoughts. ( S14 SR20det retaining VTC)

how fast is fing fast?

You run a limit in what a 240 can handle when you jump from mid 300s to 400+ whp. The drive train can only put down so much.

300Z tranny swap is planned for this fall. so drive train wont be an issue, also the mazworks head is good to spin 9500rpm. I wont take it that far probaly aaround 8500 or when power starts to drop off.

the tune got better as the night went on and so did his ET

a GT30 or even a GT28 can get close to that. Why run that turbo? Is it because not many people do it? Just wondering. I do not doubt what you say but there are many people out there running 11s with GT2871 and stock bottom ends. Some probably can break 11s. Believe what you want but keeping VTC like the OP has done makes a pretty good difference. The car gets to its top end faster than with NO VTC.

gt2871r can make 11's but then from what i seen its mostly on high boost only.

This should easily be a mid to low 11 sec setup on street tires.
Is there no one running any other turbo that isnt a 2871r or 30R??

i would like to see some slips that show 11s or 10s with a gt28.

hes not running the turbo mentioned...i never said he was. hes just running a borgwarner. its something way larger then whats mentioned above
