Clicking type noise when i accelerate.

I just got a 5 speed swap done in my 91 240sx. when the auto was in it it was still doing a clicking type noise when i accelerated. When i rev it at a stop it does not make the noise. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

maybe one of the tensioners from the timing chain?

get a hold of a thetoscope and try to isolate the noise.

does it come from the front of the valve cover?

if so, its the tensioner.

check if your oil level is good.

Does it change when you turn? Like, gets louder or softer when you make right/left hand turn?

true, if it does, then your cv joints are bad.
