i repalce the iacv(idle controll valve)and im still ahvin the same problem....well my problem is my 90 sohc wont pass 2500 rpm and just shuts off.i have to keep giving it gass to keep it on itls like it red lines there and i tryd my other friends maf sensor to see if that was the problem ND it didnt do anything...plz help

Definitely sounds like the maf or its wiring.. is it throwing any codes?

It kinda sounds like the problem I had on my 90 DD. Mine would have an erratic idle then I have to stomp on the gas a few times so it doesn't die but eventually it dies. Funny thing is it won't start until like 5 minutes later and it will run like normal again. Another thing I noticed on mine that before it does it, my rmps would jump like a couple of hundred. If it sounds like mine, then a temp sensor for the ECU (not the one for the gauge). It's like a $18 part from Autozone. As far as I can remember it sits on top of the thermostat housing. Mine never threw a code either.
