Hello all,
I recently bought new ka24de motor for my 92 240sx because I had blown headgasket for previous motor. I have bad radiator. I'm not sure if it's leaking water or not. I was wondering how exactly radiator will effect the motor. Sorry I'm new to all these so I have little bit of basic knowledge only so bare with me please. The motor is swapped already and running. It's still in shop because I got new paint job and body work so it will be done in about 1 week. Almost DONE!! yay! ok back to topic. If radiator still leaks water and motor over heats, what can happen? obviously motor will break down from over heating but I want to learn more and know the detail problems that it can happen to it. So I'm considering to buy aluminum radiator but I don't have money for that right now. I don't want to get another blown headgasket so... yeah haha help me out, thanks. if you need more info to help me out just reply to it and i'll let you know whatever your question will be. THANKS!!!

overheating will kill your motor period.
dont let it happen.

all thats all you have to know.
you should have bought a radiator instead of getting a paint job.

search : CXRACING RADIATOR on ebay
they are cheap.

take your existing radiator and have it cleaned out. sometimes it just haves too much crap inside so it doesnt let the water circulate. or maybe it has a hole somewhere and you can get it fixed cheaper than buying a new one. :)

a mechanics shop would be able to give you an estimate.

its like when you get your a/c recharged, they check for leaks and "bleed" the system :)

good luck
