hey guys i have a 91 240sx with an s13 sr20det(red top) the car has a couple mods: front mount intercooler kit(looks like a diy set up doesnt looks too legit), pulley kit, full exhaust.. lately ive been having some major bogging issues when the car full warms up. i notice that it only happens from 2-3k rpm when giving less than 40% throttle. on a cold start the car will run incredible i can drive it normally with no prob. and at times it feels like it boosts slow...check the spark plugs theyre in good cond., re ground wiring didnt do much.. any suggestions??

Who wired your engine harness?
I had a similar problem on my 89. Your most likely gonna have to redo it.
Turn on your car and let it idle. Pop the hood and wiggle the harness. If you see any changes in idle at a certain connector or the whole thing then that's your problem. Good luck!

check your mafs and the wiring as well, could be a bad connection or a bad maf. hard to say what it is , just keep troubleshooting and narrow down problems good luck

yup besides those wirings and maybe bad maf ... um well like what you pointed out, that not so legit looking FMIC setup. I not sure if that would play any part to the bogging, but anytime something doesnt really look like its done right is gonna lead to future problems down the road.
does the car idle nice though during cold and warm up times?

thanks for the info!! starting to narrow somethings down.. @ Q.Smooth127 yes it does idles perfect but once the bogging starts to happen it starts jumping below 500 and alittle over 1k

im thinking its your mafs, mine did that and run really bad between 2500rpm and 4k . it ended up being that i sucked some of my foam hks filter thru and it bent one of the wires on the mafs

oh wow! damn that must of sucked! well it turns out, on the turbo pipe there was supposed to be a hole plug up and the guy who swap it had nothing to plug it up with. so he used an open pipe and just taped it all over and when i was driving it burned up and re opened. i plug it up and ran beautifully! still a slight bog but now around 3k very little hardly noticeable. but i think it might still be the diy FIMC piping. Thanks for the info and help guys really appreciated!!
