Ok guys I need your help, I have a huge boost leak on my car however I can't seem to find it. This all started when I decided to take out all of my intercooler pipping from my s13 sr20det redtop, to clean the engine bay up a little, I also had a slight oil leak coming from where the headgasket and the oil pump meet, so i decided to put some gasket maker over that, which stoped the leak. So then my uncle comes over and tells me that the leak could also be coming from my valve cover and that we should take it off n reseal it around those black half moon looking parts on the valve cover, so we take it off put some gasket maker on it n tighten it back up and now my car would not build boost at all. My needle on my boost gauge will not go over 10inHg and the car feels real sluggish.

So I checked for boost leak, all my hoses were o there pretty tight, then I saw that one of the wires for my MAF was a little loose, I tried to fix that and the wire ended up coming out of the plug, so I contacted a fellow member on here and picked up a MAF from him, put that MAF on thinking my problems would be solved however to my disappointment it wasn't.

So what else should I check for I need your help here, does the valve cover comming off have anything to do with this problem even though we didnt touch anything other than the rubber gasket, also i forgot to add that we check the spark plug in cylinder 1, could this be an issue if we didn't tighten it enough, I don't think it would be cause the car starts up no problem.

Please help me get my car back to normal. Thanks in advance!!

Have a second set of eyes who knows what theyre doing look over the car. We cant tell you what you screwed up on without any of us actually looking at it. To me, sounds like you forgot to connect a line back on.

Thanks a lot for the response, i have an internal wastegate on the stock T25 how would i check if the wastegate is acting up.

flip, i will be taking the car to my mechanic on friday aswell, but there arent that many hoses to connect since im running the stock side mount, its on like 4 pipping and im 100% sure i didnt disconnect any of my vaccum lines since there weren't in my way, but thats for the reponses.

does anyone know if me taking off the valve cover will make the motor act like this??
