no, its just on your manifold cover.. unless your car sounds a lot louder (cracked header possibly), then you're completely fine.

no that part is a heat shield for your exhaust manifold and is not a critical component to your engine.
most people remove them.

if you want you can just take that cover off,. its just"ACTS AS" a heat shied, but i dont think it really works.. you can take it off if you want.
