Posted in S Chassis section but here is the place to be. Sorry mods.

I'm now checking the TPS voltages with 2 different multimeters and refrencing a NA Sr20 from a G20 just to be sure.
On my S14 Sr20DET I'm probing the following wires:

A-blk -gnd
B-w - from tps( .4v closed 5v open)
C-lg/r - from ecu (5v)

My results:
.01Vclosed and .08 open
.2V from ecu and 2 when running?

Compared to my sr20DE from G20
.4v and 4.9 open
5v

What the heck is going on, is the SR20DET using different voltages?

So a few uys suggested that I check the voltage right at the ECU so from the pic above I should check pun #48 light green for the 5 volts and red not so?

Use the resistance or continuity setting on your multimeter to verify the wire at the TPS connector is the correct wire at the ECU. It should be light green with a red stripe in pin 48 as seen from the harness side of the ecu connector. Then reconnect and check the voltage output from the ECU. It should be the same as it is on the G20 ~5V. Also check the TPS per EC-204.

Laugh at me after but accordign to EC-204 checking the resistance of the sensor itself..
Am I taking the measurement off the wire from the sensor and the one from the ecu ?
the diag shows B and C which is the white and Lg/R wires if I'm reading this properly.

You are measuring the resistance across the pins on the TPS with the harness unplugged from the TPS.

UPDATE:

I used nissan DataScan to get this and verified by chcking the voltage right at the ECU pins.

light green / red to TPS from ECU .06 closed on multimeter and consult
ECU stored code was 43- TPS ciruuit fault.

IS that a bad TPS or ECU?

The power wire to the TPS should have 5V when the ECU is on. There is something wrong with that circuit.

Like I said above, either the power wire is shorted, the ECU is faulty, or the TPS itself is shorted internally.

Maybe there is a bad connector or pinched wire.

I would isolate that power wire and follow it all the way to the tps and see what's going on.

UPDATE:
The light green/red wire gives .6 volts with ignition to on and 12 volts on startup(not 5v!!)- If I understand this correctly this is power sent to the TPSensor

The Consult showed stored Fault code #43 - TPS

Why with the TPS connector unplugged do I get 5 volts on the white wire at the ECU?

I don't know. You're supposed to get constant 5V with key at ON or ST.

Check the things I said and see if you find something.

since I don't have the boot pressure sensor, I'm just going to wire it in separately to the ECU and rule out any wiring pinches or what have you.

Everything fixed- thank God.
The issues were
1: pinched harness causing the TPS to get 12 volt instead of 5
2: the fan relay low was conected to the start signal and start signal was conencted to the Malfuntion indicator.
3:the iacv was not getting siwtched power.
4: the ecu was in diagnostics mode.

FIXED FIXED FIXED- thanks for the tips, learnt to wire the SR and Fix it, quite happy now.
Fell inlove with my car all over again.
