okay guys so i just put a ka out of a 97, into my 97. i kno its running rich due to backfire (only under decel) and the obvious smell. (note-i have a HUGE exhaust leak also)

i got it up and running but its running rich. the idle is perfect, although the IACV does not adjust the idle....but i kno i dont have a vac leak. i deleted all emissions stuff too.

I am getting codes for IAT sensor, and egr. but through my research IAT wont change the idle. i also have new plugs. when i disconnect the coolant temp sensor (for ecu) i get a code so i assume it works correctly. injectors dont leak i tested them, i suppose it could be FPR...

i am leaning toward o2 sensors but those things are expensive and i dont want to buy both and not fix the issue. the other thing is when driving my car has cut out for a split second a few times now>MAFS??

looking for some input one what to try/change and save money!!

why dont you actually test your FPR with a hand pump and watch your fuel pressure? IM JUST SAYIN. It might be easier than throwing money into parts you don't need. Disconnect vacuum to ur FPR plug in ur hand pump while you have a fuel pressure tester or gauge inline between ur fuel filter and FPR when you pump your FPR ur fuel pressure should drop then u will know that the Regulator is doing its job. Fuel pressure @ idle should e about 34 psi.
