So the other day I had my RB20DET running and driving with just the down pipe and everything hooked up. I put the new exhaust on and took it out for a drive came back and started to mess with some MAF wires because I have to keep the power wire for the MAF off otherwise the car will die out(have a z32 maf on a stock RB20... will not rev over 3500 rpms...). Went to start the car again and it would not fire. The starter was turning over but no firing. I took a coil out and a spark plug to check for firing and there was no spark. Then pulled CAS out and turned it to listen for injectors firing and there was no sound from injectors or buzzing from coils. I cannot figure out what it is. Sometimes when I try to start the car the ECU will flash a constant flash (dont think its a code because it is just a constant flash. Not 5 slowflashes and 5 quick flashes.) and other times the ECU will flicker when i try to start the car, but then sometimes the ecu will glow a solid red. Im running out of options and was going to see if anyone had any clue about what could be going on. I think it might be the ECU, but ive never messed with RB's?
any help would be great!
thanks

pop open the ecu cover and take a pic of what you cooked with the hot maf wire.
Post it in here when your done.
OR find out where the wiring is jacked up. And cross your fingers that the ecu is not toast
Is it a red top or silver?
here is the pin out for the ecu.

Yep, its most likely toast. Thats what happens when you drive a car that is half assed and not finished

arched the two wires while starting the car with a fuse and it fired right up
