issue....car runs like hammered dog sh*t
cause....cranked but DID NOT START THE CAR in 4th gear( i was tired ). car lurched, but e-brake was on.
effect.... took car out of gear and re-attempted to start. started ok, but immediately started throwing black exhaust. nursed it home, but couldnt exceed 2500rpm without it falling on its face. been parked since.

note: car has been running rich for a few months now, but otherwise no issues. closest apexi tuner with dyno is 400miles away, and i am usually broke.

build:
90 sil-eighty, RHD
sr20det red top
t3/t4 Gbb turbo
740cc nismo injectors
272 BC cams, retainers and springs
nismo FPR
apexi power FC, tuned by adrenaline motorsports, st louis
splitfire coilpacks
walbro 255 FP
freshly rebuilt starter
z32 MAS, o2 sensors
less than 500mi on the oil
tank full of 91 octaine shell
ngk sparkplugs
if not otherwise stated, its probably stock

attempted diagnosis:
-checked mechanical timing and the CAS
-attempted to clean IACV ( had previously caused me issues)
-disconnect MAF, car died as it was supposed to. it started, but died within a few seconds.
-checked injectors, found one leaky injector (may be cause of the rich running previously noted) but otherwise it fired correctly
-replaced a torn air intake-to-turbo coupler
-new spark plugs, properly gapped
-checked for vacuum leaks, none found
-FPR is functioning
-checked zilvia and googled issue.

any help is deeply appreciated, as to my brain is racked
:wtc:

update:
pulled the injectors and found 2 torn/worn o-rings (the smaller lower ones)
since its 1am here, we are stopped for the night.

also note:
red locktite does NOT belong on the injector covers screws.
hand-driven impact screwdriver, ftw.
thank god i bought that thing about a year ago...saved my ass many a time

well...turns out that the injector o-rings and the starting issue were purely coincidental.
problem fixed.
