hey guys got a slight problem here thats confusing me. i've searched and i've found nothing to answer my question.
so me and a buddy just finished his S14 SR swap into his s13. so we started it up for the first time on limp mode without the maf plugged in. motor ran very smooth no shakes , steady idle.
then, when we got the intercooler piping all hooked up , clipped the maf plugged in , took it for a drive around the block, motor seemed like it was running on 3 cylinders ...
so we got back home, hooked up a ground that should of been hooked up , same deal. we tried running it on limp mode again with the maf unplugged and it ran fine on all cylinders.
this is confusing me because how can a maf be the factor to a motor running on 3 cylinders ?? or is it something deeper then that ??
any help is appreciated. Thanks guys.
