Ok so I took my car to a mechanic because I could not figure out a problem on my car, which according to themchanic was having to replace 4 fuel injectors do to car starting then dieing right after and car running sluggish.
So now the mechanic "fixed the problem" and the car is still idiling low and running sluggish any ideas?
Oh and the new injectors were put on cause I took them off and checked.
The motor is a Ka stock twin cam

There's no 'A' in mechanic.
It may be your MAF sensor is dirty/old?
Sparkplugs? Tune up? It could be anything.
You didn't even tell us what engine you have.

There's no 'A' in mechanic.
ORLY?
Methinks you meant 'There's only 1 'a' in mechanic.'
:keke:
OP:
Battery good? Alternator good? Fuel pump OK? there's a ton of things to check out.
I'd raise hell with that mechanic. You didn't pay him to throw parts at the problem and HOPE it works - you paid him to FIX THE PROBLEM.

I checked the battery and that's straight, there is really nothing I can do with the mechanic so what's the point. I checked the plugs they look cool but the wires do look like they need replacing so Ima try that

take a look at the distributor. My ka sohc died on the freeway and everyone told me it was the fuel pump. it ended up being the distributor, my rotor was loose so it didnt spin. take off the cap and see if theres any play with the rotor.
if the rotor is fine, it may be a fuel pump. or u might need a good tune up

Ok so I checked the battery and alternator and plugs those seem to fine, I am starting to think it's the fuel pump but I'm kinda doubting it because it doesn't struggle to start up or look like it needs replacing, anyone know how to check if it's in good condition? I also clean my air mass flow sensor and no difference, I also found out that the timing is running rich, lmk guys

take off the gas line going to the fuel rail, have somone crank it. if gas shoots out the fuel pump is working. I warn you tho, be careful working with fuel.

^uhhh you can hear the fuel pump priming... doing the above is very dangerous and should not be done.
to add to the above, if his fuel pump was broken, his car wouldn't be running sluggish; it wouldn't be running period.
to the op: check your ecu for trouble diagnostic codes, vacuum leaks, engine grounds.

check ecu for codes
if you get codes from the ecu (the blinks) then tackle those issues first and post up what the codes are.
once i checked what codes if any the ecu has set, i'd unplug the maf and start the car. if it idles perfect and doesn't die then double/triple check any possible vacuum leaks after the maf. if no problem is found then get a known good maf on there and report back the results.

there is no way to tell if wire plugs are good or not, just sawp em

Lots of mechanics out there will mis-diagnose a problem, and keep having you buy parts and installing them until he finds the problem. I have a HUGE issue with this. If a mechanic tells me my injectors are the problem, and he replaces them and the problem persists, I would not be happy about paying for those injectors, or the labor for him to install them. Youre the mechanic- if you cant figure out whats wrong with it, then point me to someone who can. Dont just throw parts at it expecting me to foot the bill for something that didnt need replacement in the first place. Uggh that drives me INSANE.
I brought my dads Volvo to a mechanic because it blew the head gasket. I KNEW it blew the head gasket- i could see the fucking coolant coming out above the block. The mechanic somehow convinces my dad that it was his water pump spewing the coolant, and since I didnt have the car in front of me, i took his word for it. $390+ later, he has a new water pump and still has a bad head gasket. Bring it back to the mechanic, and he wants to charge full price for a head gasket job. Seriously? Fuck off, we just paid you $390 to do nothing.
