T-fitting on the valve cover options

What are the other options for the crappy little rubber hose that goes from the bottom of the block to the valve cover? I have heard of catch can options and little breather vents for the front hose, etc, but I can't find any threads about it anymore. Im still searching and will update with links, but as of now, if you have any other options of what to do with this pest, let me know. Was never a problem until I got my new tubular manifold. Now it wants to catch on fire... lol

saw this one, and noticed something. i never had a "stock catch can". i bought this car already SR swapped, and as of now, the hose exits the T toward the back and simply goes to the bottom of the block. The hose on the front of the T just elbows down.

well i have the oem catch tank if you want it. this is how the guy who rebuilt my sr ran my lines. He told me to put a lil K&N filter on it i just havent had the chance to get one yet.

the proper way the T is goes is the back part goes to a "stock" catch can and than down to the bottom of the block

the front part of the T is supposed to go to an aftermarket catch can...than you need a line from the catch can to the intake pipe

That black box is not a catch can. It's the factory air/oil separator. Oil fume comes up from the bottom through a hose. The separator keeps oil down and allows air to come up to the t-fitting in the valve cover.

The other side of the t-fitting goes to the intake pipe.

I don't really like to vent to atmosphere because the fumes can make you noxious, especially if you're running high boost.

Either reroute the stock setup or get yourself a good catch can and recirculate to the intake pipe.

mine is missing that separator as well. I've been looking for one to reinstall it, but can't find it anywhere. If anyone has the stock separator they can part with let me know! I'm re-doing the catch can in front as well, after seeing the pics here that was installed wrong too.

If you have the stock air/oil separator installed, there is no need for an aftermarket catch can. Just route the line from the front of the T-fitting back to the intake and call it a day.
