ka wierd idle

I just put a. ka24de back in my kouki. and I am getting some. weird symptoms

1. I smell exaust leak
2. on start I must give the car gas to start
3. after start it take a min for my rpm to level out
4. I'm getting lean pops on idle and downshifting at high rpms

my car doesn't have the bottom o2 sensor on the downpipe

also was once a auto so the motor is a 5spd so I deleted the lower harness for that

I'm not sure if that connects to the o2 sensor

besides that, no visual vacume leaks


I'm thinking iacv or that o2?

the motor is from a 95n is obd1 so the ecu is different aswell I was told od1 do not need bvottom o2 sensor

Sounds like you have a stuck open or intermittently suck open injector. I have had this same problem with mine. Also the rear O2 doesn't do anything except for emissions.
