My coupe recently started having a weird idle problem as it will randomlly and it's never all the time just ocassionally, it will go up n down between 500-1000 rpm, I've checked the vacuum lines and it reduced it to only happening every once n awhile but I've also heard it can be my injector o-rings and fuel rail grommets as they r letting air seep in and causing the idle, please help thanks.

Is the car automatic or stick, does it happen when you are in neutral or in gear, first check for vacum leaks

It's stick it's only the idle nothing else runs fine just rough idle imma try cleaning the egr valve, but I have already checked for vacum leak and have checked all the hoses.

Spark plugs, plug wires, distributor cap, injectors, IACV, vacuum leak........

You need to go check some stuff so we can narrow the problem down.

So I now have a better way of saying what the problem is and it has a weird idle that fluctuates from different rpms, normally between 500-800, but sometimes dies down to low 300 and wants to die and sometimes does die, Also when i get on it, it seems to have a brief flat spot in the powerband between 2500-3500 rpm but goes good after. i finally had more time to try and figure out the problem and have narrowed it down to either the TPS sensor, a bent valve, or the timing being off. Ive also replaced the plugs, cap n rotor and fule filter just bc it needed a tune up. also i have checked the rating on the injectors and everything is good.

Check your fuel pressure. I had the same problem. Fuel pump sock was dirty. Very easy to pull the pump and look.

^^My friend's hatch when come to a stop, the idle would drop real low then rise back up. We hooked it up to the Nissan Diagnostics 2, and found out that his TPS (Throttle position sensor) was on the "OFF" and was not "ON". We unscrew the 7mm tps bolts and moved it, and it showed up as "ON", then adjusted the idle to a perfect 750rpm. It fluctuates only +/-20 from 750 which is perfect. Factory is +/- 50rpm.

His EGR vacuum line in the back had also fallen off and that's why he threw code 32 which was EGR and code 34/ knock sensor. Must have been when we installed a new header and EGR tube. So now we just have to deal with the knock sensor issue (Which has a brand new knock sensor) But we are sure that the wire from ecu to knock sensor is faulty, just gotta run a new wire and we should be good.

Most likely, IACV, MAF, Idle screw, Vaccume, TPS, (You can Voltmelter/Multimeter to OHM test your injectors to see if they all get 11OHMS which is the standard),

His hatch'es IACV worked at 80% which we cleaned a year ago, which was okay, so if you've never cleaned the IACV try doing so with carb cleaner, take it out from the back of the manifold, and totally disassemble it and clean it.

i found out its actually the tps for me... my car bogs at low rpm though.. u can either have a vac leak or dirty egr, even messed up iacv... just check them and make sure u get all new gaskets... if u want pm me with all your problems with it and i should be able to help with it
