Alright, well I got a leakdown test and here was the results.

1st Cylinder: 7%
2nd Cylinder: 15%
3rd Cylinder: 65%
4th Cylinder: 25%

Well, obviously the third cylinder is pretty shitted on. I poured two capfulls of ATF into the cylinder to try and seal some shit up.

What are my options here?...

After I poured the ATF in, it doesn't smoke anymore unless it's been idling a long time. (Valve Stems, Probably..)

Anyways, what are my options to restore some compression, other than a complete rebuild?

Where are you getting leakage?

The guy didn't tell me, actually, haha.

Do a compression check, see what you are getting for #3. Drop a cap full of oil and see if it jumps up. If it jumps up, then piston rings are done. If not, then you're leaking somewhere else (headgasket or valves not sealing properly).

Thanks man, I'll definitely do that. Cylinder 3 was low last time IIRC. Like 115-120. I'll do the oil trick and see what happens.

Sounds like a half assed job.

When doing a leak down test one is supposed to determine where the sound of leaking air is coming from to diagnosis the problem. If (with intake & exhaust valves closed) escaping air is heard out of the intake or exhaust then it's that corresponding valve that is leaking. If the air leak is heard in the crankcase then it's the piston rings. If air bubbles out the coolant then it's the head gasket.

Well, nothing matters anymore because last night rod #3 decided to break in half.

Rebuild time. =/
