View Full Version : SR20 Turbo On CA18DET

So I Picked up a CA with a SR20 Turbo but the Turbo does not line up to the manifold (The housing hits the manifold). As I sit now I'm guessing I have to clock the turbo but the last bolt under the oil line is virtually impossible to get (And already slightly rounded).

Is it natural that this doesn't quite line up? Suggestions for clocking it? I guess I'll have to go ask a shop tomorrow if they feel like grinding one of my wrenches down... :wtf

Last bolt is the one I can't get to on the Housing if some one has an idea

Vice grips are my favorite tool for holding onto or moving rounded off nuts.

See if you can fit a slim pair in there.

Just clock the compressor housing with a pair of snap ring pliers. Sounds like you need to take the turbo off the manifold either way.
