About 1~2 months after SR swap, the key ignition seems almost stopped working (it occasionally starts the car). So I used remote start from my alarm to start the car every time.

The ignition was known to be working fine before the swap.
Funny thing is the remote start fire up the car every time. And the remote start from the alarm was installed before the swap.

Checked wire, seems the key ignition is sending signal to the starter. Key ignition is good.
Checked ground, and seems there is enough ground. Ground is good.

Any good advice for this silly problem?

Not sure what car this is, but check the anti-theft system.

Since you have an alarm AND remote start, it's really hard to diagnose this problem.

sorry this is a S14

The symptom should be not related to anti-theft system.
The car has the same alarm prior to the swap. The key ignition had no problem until a month after and becomes working occasionally.

I can't tell you how many problems I've traced back to a faulty aftermarket alarm. They do tend to go bad without warning.

But I have any other suggestion since you've already skillfully ruled out the alarm. Maybe check the ignition switch and all the ignition wiring circuit.

Good luck.
