Over all length is just at 5 inch's with a 45deg. Bend in the middle of it.

Raise your shift knob and change the angle to where ever you want it.

For cars that have a 10x1.25 thread pitch shifter. IE Some Nissan's, Some Mazda's, Some Toyota's.

You could also just wrap the threads in teflon tape if you didn't want to have the nuts* on your shifter... just trial and error with how much to use... same way you line up any shift knob.

without picking it up and looking at it, it doesnt look like 45*

Definitely not a 45 degree bend. More like 10 degrees.
