imported KA24de from canada question?

I have a 1993 240sx coupe 5spd. Motor is shot. I have found multiple running motors in canada for like 150.00. As apposed to the 600.00 people want in the states.

Do these motors just drop in? or is there some modification needed?

Who wants $600 for a KA? You should be able to find one no problem for $200 to $300 in the states.

every KA i have sold has been sold as a swap..tranny, engine, ecu, harness, dizzy, i sell them for $500 but dont have any right now

If i could find a running KA assembled for 200-300 i woulda picked it up like...yesterday. everyone wants 450-600 PLUS shipping. And alot of those are just motors with 120k.

I have worked on a bunch of US cars and didn't notice anything different. If it's originally from Cali the FSM says there are a couple differences... can't remember off the top of my head though and I haven't touched a Cali car as far as I know.

There are like 25363514 different ECU codes, I imagine we got a different ECU than the US but I haven't found an ECU that wouldn't work on any KA.

If for some reason there is anything different you could just swap it off your motor onto this one, but I doubt there is. I'd say go for it as long as shipping doesn't make it cost just as much. We practically give KAs away around here, there are SO many of them and everyone has an SR.

Yah ive noticed, over there i can get a KA for 90 U.S. dollars. But I dont know who could ship a motor from canada to the U.S. and i dang sure am a little scared to send the payment and shipping over there and nothing will come.
