Im sorry but i am confused about this Analog Voltmeter
but i set this to 2.5 Volt DC and this is what i have with closed throttle
http://pic90.picturetrail.com/VOL2335/11805834/20975360/379422842.jpg
and this was set to the 10 Volt DC dial on the voltmeter and this is what it shows at WOT(wide open throttle)

i think at closed, it should be around .50 and open at 4 Volts i think. let me knwo if its correct. thanks

Sorry if I get this wrong I don't use analog meters anymore. On the 2.5v scale 0v is 0 on the scale. 2.5v would be at the 250 at the other end of the scale. so if you add a decimal to the numbers the scales would read .50,1.0,1.5,2.0,2.5. So the reading in the first picture is .45v. Same for the 10v scale 250 is 10v half way 120 is 5.0v. So the reading should be about 4.5 volts. your numbers look to be correct for tps settings.
If I am wrong I'm sure somebody will set us straight.

First of all use a digital shop volt meter with straight voltage selection so you can get the right reading. Make sure you are using the proper wire for sensor signal to get your reading as well.
Closed reading should be .444 - .400 range is acceptable. For Full Open it should read 4.00-4.5 range approx. I would make sure that if it's .4 then full open it's 4.0 or if it's .45 closed its 4.5 open, so the range is proportionate

Thank you guys that makes alot of sense, now i have read that its suppose to be .45 -.50 V CLOSED and 5 V OPEN is that not right?

so does that mean that my tps is crapped out? since its off? i is completely open...

Stick to standard .45 to 4.5

OAKY SO MY TPS HAS GOT TO BE F*CKED. i just tried to adjust it up a bit more to at least reach .45 v closed and 4.5 open but when i loosened the two bolts and turned it clockwise from .40 (shown on the picture) the highest the voltage would go is .45 and would not go anyfurther. now even worse is the open throttle at 4.1 volts MAX.
now just to make sure its fucked right? is there another tps from a usdm car thatmatches?

get a digital meter. tps is $43 at rockauto.com less the 5 percent coupon you can google

this second test was done on a craftsman digital volt meter
