Has anyone actually used one of these and had it work successfully? I haven't been able to find anyone who has used one out of the hundred+ Enjuku has supposedly sold. I ordered one and it didn't work, so Ken from Enjuku sent me another one. And the replacement only works good enough to let the car idle, very roughly though. I found out they are a chinese knock off(as are many aftermarket car parts) made from this company:
China Air Flow Sensor,Mass Air Flow Sensor,Air Flow Meter,Auto Parts,Vehicle Parts Manufacturer - Wenzhou Riyi Vehicle Parts Co., Ltd. (http://chengyi01.host.brightcn.com/riyi/product.asp?page=2&classid=1,4,&tid=&seltxt=)
I was able to find a genuine Nissan Z32 maf, and I will update with my findings tomorrow. But I was just curious if anyone is actually running one without any problems. I will forward my findings to Ken after tomorrows results, Enjuku is a good company so i'm sure they will have some sort of solution.
Physical differences so far. The elements inside the maf differ. Batteries died on my camera, but I found a picture of a genuine z32 maf to help in my explanation.
Genuine Z32 Maf:

As you can see there are 2 elements inside that do NOT look identical. There's the one that looks like a small resistor and the other one that is "blade" like. On the ISIS, there is no "blade" like looking element, just 2 identical elements that look like small resistors.

First question that pops in my head is... Did you have a z32 MAF installed before ordering the isis one? If not, did you make the changed to the AFR/ECU readings to accommodate the larger MAF?

JWT + SAFC NEO.
Got off work late today so I will get around to testing these out on the weekend. Will post in depth with voltage results as well.

It really pangs me when you guys take a perfectly good ECU and then add an AFC to it!!!!
Please don't do that!
If the ECU is tuned properly you will not need the S-AFC.
Honestly! I have done back to back tests on my dyno and adding the S-AFC has no positive effect on HP or the AFRS. It does not allow you to "fine tune" the system This is a big misconception and I don't know where or how this got started.
Just had to add that.
Back to the ISIS, I am surprised that Nissan didnt go after someone for coping their tech

^^^Yup, plus you can find used OEM ones for approx $80. They are not that expensive now. I got mines for $65 in perfect condition.
Let us know about the isis unit tho

Alright guys, sorry about the wait, it's been hitting -25F up here this past week and my garage is not heated.
So Saturday I get around to installing my genuine Nissan Z32 maf. And long behold, it worked excellent as compared to the ISIS unit.
To sum up. The ISIS maf output signal as compared to a genuine nissan maf, is lower in voltage than it should be. Making the engine run leaner than it should. When the engine fully warms up, the mixture goes so lean the engine stalls out. With the engine warm a genuine Z32 maf reads about .8-.9% airflow as with the ISIS it reads .4-.5% meaning the voltage output is extremely small! When I turned on my electric fans, the engine idle would hunt very bad and stall out. The ISIS maf seems to lack sufficient circuitry to deal with small changes in the 12 volts supplied to the MAF, and therefore it's output signal is adversely affected giving false airflow readings to the ECU.
I talked to Ken @ Enjuku about my findings. And they are going to contact ISIS about this and see what's up. The ISIS maf is a not a true aftermarket replacement for a genuine nissan one.

Well that sucks...
I figured I would get a new one instead of trying to find a used one that was good. But as it seams the old adage "if its to good to be true.." rings out.
I thought Enjuku was using them on there cars.. they've never had a problem with them??
Mine should be here in a day or two. If I find something diffrent Ill post.

I personally dont know why this specific MAF had an issue or why this customer had 2 MAF's that didnt work properly.
We have sold 150+ of these and this is the first instance of 2 in a row not working properly, on the same car.
We have opened the 2 MAF's that this customer sent back and one of them smells burnt, I am not an electrical engineer, but that doesnt seem good. It is really hard to say if there is something strange going on with the car or if it truely was the MAF. Either way ISIS will take care of us.
I have warrantied 3 other MAF's. 1 was a shipping damage, one was dead out of the box, and one was a customer error, all were taken care of ASAP.
I personally ran this MAF on my KAT setup and it worked great. The car is still running and has been for about 8 months now with zero issues.
I have passed this info onto ISIS to take a look at, however i dont know if they will have much to say. As there could be other factors that might have caused this specific instance.
If anyone else has a similar issue please contact me and let me know ASAP.
I would say 5 out of 150 is a good # especially when 2 of those were not ISIS's issue and we dont know about the others. I warrantied 2 AEM EMS's in the last week......and I dont expect them to do much for the customer.
Electronics are hard to cover and deal with, but ISIS will stand behind it if there is a problem.
Sincerely
Ken
