i searched for this topic and found one person saying if the WC on the ecu is black is zenki and the other person said the opposite. which is which? and if its a kouki, is it going to be any different wiring wise to swap into my zenki s14 compared to a zenki sr20?

look at the Valve cover fasteners
If they are nuts the its a Zenki
If they are bolts its a Kouki
Also MAFS plug will help but only with the harness
Square= Zenki
Oval=Kouki

IIRC fins on the front of the head = kouki, smooth = zenki. I think the kouki has a clicking oil filler cap just like the gas cap too.

I'm pretty sure only the s15 sr had bolts for the valve cover. The zenki should have cap nuts and the kouki should have regular open nuts.

Nope i just installed a Kouki S14 SR into a S14 valave cover has Bolts
I know its an S14 SR due to the 5 speed it came with and the 370CC injectors on the engine
