if so what are the things i can do about it can retrq them back to the right specs without any problem ??

Yea it will either spin the rod bearing and tear up your crankshaft upon start up or later on seize the engine also tearing up the crankshaft.

Pull it back apart, dont let you friend work on it and trq. everthing down correctly per FSM.

damm that would suck !!! my homie knows his shit but i guess he forgot the trq spec cause we didnt have the book in front of us and works on lots of cars so he might of mixed up the numbers !

so do i just take the pan out and unscrew the caps and retrq them ??

might have to recheck if he did trq them down to 60 hope he didnt :hide:

I would never go off of my memory when doing bottom end trq specs. I dont car how many times ive done it, I'll always have an FSM handy just to make sure stuff like this dont happen.

inspect the bearings for damage and check clearances with plasti gauge just to make sure the clearances are still good.

Actually if he over torqued them and you want to be really safe i would get new rod bolts.....

He apparently doesn't know 'his shit' if he improperly torqued anything. I'd stick with reading the FSM and leaving the fool kids who know it all to damage someone else's engine.

Loosen everything once again and re-torque in order and pattern as per Nissan FSM.

The torque wrench may be clicking but how do you know what the precise foot pound of torque was the first time it was torqued?

example

Rods were torqued by numbnuts to 500 ft-lb as per numbnuts discretion.

FSM says 250 ft-lb

You "re-check" them at 250 ft-lb and consider them torqued correctly...

No Sir.... They Are Still At 500 ft-lb of Force...
