Hey so I found an amazing deal on this turbo on a local forum: Garrett T3/TO4E 57 trim w/ .63 a/r (http://cheapturbo.stores.yahoo.net/gat357trw63a.html)

and was wondering how well it would be suited to an SR20 in terms of spool time (i'm guessing full boost at 4000-4500?) and how much power I could make with a conservative amount of boost. I plan on running a cast log style manifold with a tial 38mm gate. I havent done any head work, but would possibly upgrade to a crower valve train and 272 cams. Will also be running a greddy intake mani.

Thanks.

A little big for a sr depending on what your wanting to do with it. People have different needs for where they need power.

i just got my car tuned on a .63 at 14 psi on a stock SR with only 550cc's and SAFC i made 308rwhp on a dynojet and 300rwtq FULL boost at 4500 too laggy for my drifting needs but when you do get in boost im spinning tires.

too big of a turbo for that little of a power goal. That turbo on a sr should have made over 400whp on a dyno jet (but at much higher boost) and race fuel would be needed to really get full use out of it. For you a s15 turbo would be a much better choice.

Ditch the safc while your at it.
