View Full Version : Will auto trans mount work for a 5 spd trans?

As title states, I'm wondering if the automatic transmission mount will work with a manual transmission also.

crossmember will not. mount is the same i think

Cool, so I can use the rubber mount with a crossmember from a manual?

Yes. However visually inspect it, most auto mounts are slightly more worn due to the added weight. You'd be surprised what a new mount looks like compared to the old, caved in one on your car.

fill the worn out bushing up with liquid nails and let it harden for a few days. works really good, sounds ghetto but it works really good

Adding to the above....

Use construction grade sealant if you don't want things to rattle around as much.

Use construction grade adhesive if you don't really care about things rattling around.
