My rb25 tranny is starting to grind going into fifth gear(only) all other gears are fine no grinding, im not a transmission expert but im guessing this is the 5th gear synchro? im gettin ready to put in a new clutch so i would like to fix this while my tranny is out, and any ideas where to the part i need?
also have a question about rb25 short shifters theres really nothing out there is there? i currently have an isis one but it honestly feels stock still anyone know of where to get one thats worth it or how to make something work ive heard that the ka short shifters are suppose to work this true? any help is much appreciated thanks guys!

Using a KA short shifter takes modification and the other option is C's from Nengun or RHDjapan and that takes $260 and 1 month to get. My buddy told me he can make me a short shifter using my stock shifter. That's my next project. I'll post up and let you know how that goes.

alright sounds good that would be great! do you know how much modification it takes or like what exactly you have to do to the ka short shifter to make it work?

syncro is not DIYable unless you own a workshop or gear pullers, and the work isn't cheap because they have to strip down half the gearbox.parts wise you dont know exactly what you need till it's stripped down so either suck up the grinding, try a new oil, or pay for the work to be done by a workshop :(
with shifters, you got a choice of ebay, c's, uras, nismo.
ebay - forget it
c's - i've had 2, both have rattled on me though everybody loves c's
uras - never used it but it looks like an intersting design that's different from the rest
nismo - have one, it feels like an improved standard shifter
