I am looking at a 95 with a rb20 in it. They are talking about a heating issue with rb20 swapped cars esp. with the a/c hooked up.
I've looked on here and don't see any mention of it being a common problem.
Is this something that is common or is there another problem that is a unknown with the car.
Thanks in advance for and info.
Yes overheating is a common problem with the RB in a 240, especially in the south where it's hot and humid. After researching and trying out different cooling options I've come to the conclusion it is because most RB swaps are not using the clutch fan and shroud. I'm now using a 240sx clutch fan with my RB25 and it pulls a TON more air at idle than my FAL 220's going full blast.
Low speed cruising with air temps in the mid 90's and high humidity coolant temps don't go above 176. With the FAL's I'd start in the 180's and creep to the upper 190's.

Thanks for the reply. I was looking to buy a rb20 swapped 240. Not really the color or body I was looking for anyway. I ended up going with a 90 sr20 car. Thanks for the help though. I figured it was down to lack of air flow thu the rad or thu the eng compartment.
