How do I fix: I have to keep retyping password when i go on forums now???

Like the title says. Everytime I go on the Net and check out forums(this one and all other forums or sites that require passwords)on my/the same computer I have to retype all my passwords/screen name...even though I check the box that says "remember my info and password" on all sites. My computer doesn't remember anymore. Just happened recently. My friend said it might have something to do with cookies, I don't know. How do I fix this??? Any help greatly appreciated.

I haven't/didn't clear my cookies in the "internet settings". I still have to keep retyping PWs n stuff. Maybe a virus, i dunno?

Yay! I fixed it using "Spybot - search and destory". It got rid of all my crap that my computer caught using the net(especially from those damned porn sites). It's like colon blow for your computer :)

LOL, colon blow, haha. Also, make sure that your cookies are set in your User CP.

Sh*t....Just started my computer up and it's still the same. I guess it's still f'ed up. How do you set cookies to user-cp??

Don't worry, I'll set them for you in my control panel.

Edit: Well, they're set already. Maybe you should look into your Internet Options on your browser and make sure you're set to accept cookies. You know how to do that?

I use default for ALL the options. Where exactly is it under.

I went:

-settings
-control panel
-internet options
-privacy
-advanced
-clicked on override option
-then I clicked on "accept" for both third party and first party but when I close it and reopen the internet options and check it, it doesn't save it.


...I feel like a retard, I can't even find it. maybe my computer is just messed up.

I really don't know what to tell you. Try reinstalling IE... :-/
