What are these called

Can someone tell me what the circle thing is called at the end of the picture on the right side coming off of the block? Someone told me I should replace them when I do my head gasket but I dont see them in the FSM or anywhere. I think they are there to line it up but I dont really know. There is one in front and back. Its a Sr20det.

I think I found it. Z33dori said that all block dowel pins are the same on all SR's
