This is probably a seriously stupid question, but I'd rather clarify and do it once the right way.

I have an S13 SR redtop with a T28. It didn't have coolant lines, but I want to add them. I bought, an S14 waterneck and S14 coolant lines because I read it makes life easier. I searched all over and couldn't find myself a definitive answer on where these things go.

So far I think:
1. Coolant supply (imagine its an S14 waterneck)
2. Coolant return
3. Oil Supply
4. Oil Drain
3&4 Im sure of, I just thought I'd add them in case this question ever comes up again.

(Found this picture online and added the numbers/squares)

Any help is greatly appreciated,

Jake

Once you got the lines, the coolant lines will really only go one way...but im pretty sure what you got is right.

coolant lines don't matter either/or. the flow of coolant will make however you set it up proper. your concern now should be how you're gonna cap off the coolant lines on the metal branch under the intake manifold. that is...if you still have heater/iacv/all that BS

we had the lines backwards ony my buddies S14 SR and the turbo was screaming as if it was going out...... swapped them to the right places and the sound went away.

So i wouldn't say that it doesn't matter, but this may have been a 1 time thing tho.

But yes you have the mountings right, just make sure you hook them up right off the turbo

hmmm, maybe i just accidentally get it correct all the time???

i always set it up to where outside coolant line (facing strut tower) goes to water neck. but then again there's no particular flow direction necessary for garrett center cartridges i thought... oh well :)
