Im trying to figure out if a high flowing catalytic converter is the same as a brand new oem catalytic converter, rather than more performance? Do they both burn emmisions the same or what? please help:mad:

A high flow cat is just that...Higher flow.

If it's a good quality one, CATCO etc you should get close to the same emissions readings out the tail pipe.

One trick is to use a LARGER High flow cat for better flow but also better emissions.

Cats work by a chemical reaction with the metals in the cat removing the C0 out of your exhaust

Thats just the type of answer im looking for =] but what i also want to know is if they smog my car with a high flow cat would more emiisions come out or will i get better performance and the same emission readings like the oem ones ?
