NIStune - Nissan Realtime ECU tuning (http://www.nistune.com/)
Enthalpy ECU Tune: S13 KA24DE (http://www.optionimports.com/enecutus13ka.html)
My setup thread: http://zilvia.net/f/engine-tech/275286-ka-t-s15-gt28r-turbo-setup-complete-list.html
I know Nistune is kind of like a standalone tuning unit while Enthalpy is a pre-tune ECU rom service.
I am planning to tune it with Nistune myself, and wondering if I would be ok if I spend about 6 months on reading/researching ECU tuning. I am reading 2 tuning books:
How to Tune and Modify Engine Management Systems by Jeff Hartman
Amazon.com: How to Tune and Modify Engine Management Systems (Motorbooks Workshop) (9780760315828): Jeff Hartman: Books (http://www.amazon.com/Modify-Management-Systems-Motorbooks-Workshop/dp/0760315825)
Engine Management: Advanced Tuning by Greg Banish
Amazon.com: Engine Management: Advanced Tuning (9781932494426): Greg Banish: Books (http://www.amazon.com/Engine-Management-Advanced-Greg-Banish/dp/1932494421/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1251745432&sr=1-1)
After reading http://www.plmsdevelopments.com/files/nissan_ecu_tuning_basics.pdf. it kinds of make sense.
I just want to learn how to tune my car, and looking for a good typical tune.
Another question for Enthalpy is how good they are. I want to see more details on mapping and timing table. Since they just need to know the injector Size, air Flow Sensor, etc., it seems like they are just some generic tunes. Did they just modify the injection mulitplier (K constant)? Or do they tune more than that? I read many Enthalpy threads, and most people are happy about their tunes, but I want to know more about Enthalpy tunes.
Thanks!
