This is just an idea I have been pondering. I am no enginer nor claim to be. I seen the debates on greddy and other short runner manifold vs stock long runners. I am still running a stock intake manifold because of the bottom end.

Now to the point, would an intake manifold simular to a 99 geo storm, or 99 toyota corolla be a good idea to copy? Really long equal length runners that meet the throttle body with no plenium?

Any ideas? Just been thossing this idea around and would like see if there is any constructive input that could be added.

The "collector" if you will would have to be perfect and well thought out.

Thats all I have. Neat Idea but I would be scared to run something like that unless it was something designed by a company as large as Toyota.

Ask yourself this. Would you want to modify the motor in either one of those cars? Didn't think so.

I’m not concerned with modifying those engines. The point was Toyota did it for a reason and I was trying to come to a conclusion as to why (increased bottom end) and as to how it would work with forced induction.

Anyways thinks for the response’s I searched on Honda tech and came up with a thread with some good input. I have a couple of spare SR intake manifolds and a Q45 throttle body. This might make a good winter project. I’m happy with the twin scroll exhaust manifold I made. If I can get a little more bottom end with this new intake manifold great, if not I will go back to a stock manifold and reload my current tune.
