How high to make mounts?

hey guys, I'm about to make some mounts for my sr20 into my s13. Making the mounts by nicos forums how to with flexane. But they don't say how high to make the mount. Trying to see if anyone know what's the height of the stock motor mounts? anyone opinions on other heights? thanks in advance.

I just measured my Nismo mounts to be roughly 2.875" compressed height. I've had these mounts for 2years though so they could've "sagged" some. I took this measurement from inbetween the mount bracket and the crossmember. I would use that as a guideline. Since you are making your mounts, I wouldn't go any lower than 2.5" overall height.

I've never had an issue with my Nismo mounts. Some people have, but that's because they installed them on the wrong sides. There is a right and a left when it comes to the Nismo mounts.

interesting. is there a difference in the height by chance?

To be honest, I can't actually get in there to measure. My return line from my catch can runs right down infront of the mount on the front side and the rack is in the way to get a good measurement out back. I tried, and with doing that I found my driver's side mount wasn't in the cradle, so thanks for that.
