I'm looking into buying an s14 with a built sr20 in it. I'm trying to stay low budget, and I don't want to be breaking shit left and right. the motor is blown now because the guy's son took it out and cranked up the boost and beat on it, but it's still a cheap car. I basically want to know what HP the motor can RELIABLY hold after a rebuild. here's the rundown:
-eagle connecting rods.
-micro polished and balanced crankshaft.
-cosworth multi layer steel head gasket.
-port and polish head.
-cp pistons.
-3 angle valve job
-titanium retainers.
-arp head studs.
-taka turbo lines.
-tial 44mm wastegate.
-hks 264 step 2 camshafts.
-full race gt3071r.
-fullrace twin-scroll.
-fullrace gen 2 downpipe.
-greddy v spl intercooler.
-3 “exhaust
-koyo aluminum radiator.
-samco hoses.
-walbro 255 fuel pump.
-greddy profec b electronic boost controller.
-820cc injectors
-apexi turbo timer.
-greddy oil pan
The motor was built by Touge Factory in may of last year. He just bought a corvette and subsequently blew this up so he's selling it cheap because he doesn't want to deal with it. I want to buy it to have a fun car to track and tool around in that won't have broken parts every weekend. I still want to be able to beat on it once or twice a month, but I'm not worried about all out power. more just reliable power. thanks for the help.
