View Full Version : ka24e camshaft bearings? anyknow were to get them?

Does anyone know were i can get camshaft bearings for my ka24e at? ive already check my work (Kragen auto parts) ipp.com, and ive googled it it. and i cant find some anywere, im replace my cam and i wanted to get new ones, any one have any part numbers?

are you talking about crankshaft? if so they are the same from the de and the e motors

no i thought there were camshaft bearings on the bearing caps above the camshaft?

i dont think the "bearings" for the cams are replacable....well at least they arent for SR. im pretty sure that the KA is the same though. The Cam's Bearings are a machined surface in the head and the acutual cam cap. there arent bearing "shells" that you can replace. thats not to say you cant maching the bore and find some shell that will fit in.

no there isnt. the cam caps are machined alum and fit right to the cam itself.

thanks, guys, now im putting in a nismo cam, think i should buy new cam caps? or just install the cam with the old caps on. lmk thanks alot for the help

You can't just install new caps and run with it. You'd have to have them line honed. Keep the old ones, put them in where you took them off and go read a book on engines..

yep. keep the stock stuff, and dont get it out of order when you remove it. that would be bad.
im ordering a nismo R4 tomorrow. . . we'll see how that goes.
