after installing my power FC D-Jetro and driving there is an odd problem going on. when getting on it, and getting into boost - aproximatly 2-4 psi - the car cuts out and starts to buck like it hit a slow rev limiter. the car has never done this on the previous enthalpy ecu setup.

the map sensor is installed and pluged into the side of the ecu case, and the iat sensor is installed and wired into the propor wire, the egt wire as indicated by the pinout in the instructions. no other changes were made other than removing the maf plug and shortening those wires back.

any suggestions for something to try, or anyone who has had this happen please help me figure this out.

did you just install the pfc with the base maps, or did you have it tuned?

this is just with the base map on a test drive. i know i need it tuned, but thought this could have also been a mechanical/electrical issue.

probably just the tune. if you have bigger injectors, change the injector % on the commander and it will be better.

i have changed the injector settings to where they need to be. i dont think it is the tune because it is doing the same thing with maps other than the base map.

i think i have the boost control turned off but i will check again.

im assuming you have the ability to log your sensors in real time? See if any of them are doing anything stupid when the cutout is happening.

Is the timing pulling back like crazy? Im betting pfc does this to force you to go get a tune so people dont go blow their motors being untuned.

If pfc made it run too well out of the box people would end up being lazy/cheap after investing that money in the ecu and not go tune, and probably pop their motor.

the boost control was switched on.
