sr20det no spark

im running a redtop in my s14. the other day as i was driving it just died and i am unable to start it. so i did basic check, its getting fuel i can hear pump/smell it. and tested plug#1 by grounding it (correct?) no spark. tested ignitor, puts out ~12v. so that seems good, ECU reads code 55 so thats okay to. any ideas? i checked ground behind coil packs, what else can i check?

Okay guys so today i was checking everything snd seemed to be getting power so i tried to start the car and it starts right up!! but i have no idea why it wouldnt start before?

and now its making a wierd noise. at first it sounding like ticking so i figure lifter, but its like a pinging sound coming from turbo area. is it possible i have shaft play and im hearing the turbine hit the housing? im goin to try and pull it apart to check, mayb time to look for a new turbo(its an hks gt2510 BTW)
