we put my friends s13 blacktop in his s14, driving it around it said it said it was overheating like crazy, but it was running good just the wrong sensor, and wouldnt rev past 2500... we put my s14 dual cam coolant temp sensor in it and now it runs cool and wont rev past 3000. we check and fixed boost leaks, checked and changed the maf sensor.. nothing changed. what could this possibly be now?

Pulled any codes? 2500 rpm brick wall sounds like a MAFS/MAFS-wiring related problem.

no check engine light. i tried two different mafs and it ran the same with both. one was from the sr and another was from my s13 single cam. i might hook it up to a code reader and see if it reads anything but im not getting a check engine light or anything.

Bad MAFS or bad MAFS wiring doesn't throw a check engine, you'll have to pull code(s) from the ECU.

it is my car. just put ecu in diagnostic code and it threw 12 (mafs) and 34 (knock sensor)

ugh. sick of this.

tried 2 known working sohc ka mafs, also rewired the mafs back to the main part of the harness by injectors. dont know where to go from here

Where and how did you spliced the MAFS and Knock sensor wire?

You cant just plug in a SOHC Maf, you gotta re-wire it.
