I am installing an S14 SR for my friend.
I got the motor from JDMEngineDepot. The motor looks great from peaking inside, and so did the harness unti l got to looking at it.

24011-80F06 ... so it's neither JDM S14 Zenki or Kouki

S14 Zenki Harness 24011-65F04
S14 Kouki Harness 24011-80F00

From what I can tell, I think this harness maybe from an Australia or Europe. The ECU is "NA."

http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c143/station2station/S14%20SR%20Swap/IMG_7848.jpg

There are far fewer pins than on the JDM harness.

http://www.mys15.org/images/web/ecu2.gif
^^^^^ This is the type, however the pins are different for S14 UK, AUS, and S15)I can't figure out which. I havy pretty much determined it is NOT S15. Many pins do not match (per S15 JDM FSM and Aus Pinout(online) ) But if its not in any of my FSMs...and I have many... I'm efed in the a...

http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c143/station2station/S14%20SR%20Swap/IMG_7878.jpg

The ECU connector is different and I have been having a time locating a pinout. I manged to compare it to an S15 harness, however a few pins (such as PIN 33. S15 Pinout says this controls rear defrost. S14 Euro Says Pin 33 controls the fan relays...)

I'm getting really frustrated and I cannot source a Euro spec S14 FSM. (which would likely solve my problem)

I have searched JDM google and UK google along with UK and AUS based forums with no luck..

Please help me... What harness do I have? and where can I find the damn diagrams for it???

Oh... and if this IS a euro.. it's false advertising and I'm pissed. The Eurospec has a lower output... (tho this may only be due to boost)

Send it off, it looks like too much of a headache for one to figure out.

I am NOT giving up on this.... I can do this...

I have been up al night and I found an S14a manual... it's crappy but I think it'll work. I have paired 16 wires with it now and they all match... I may have to check the F4 for continuity though...

I am SO making a write up when I am done and I know it works cuz it "will". :)

Does the engine have an EGR system? If so it's a Euro engine... JDM engines didn't have EGR systems.

Station2Station

The engine does not have an EGR system, and according to the S14A (euro) fsm, though the motor has EGR, the harness that I have doesn't deal with the EGR. The pin (105) for EGR is empty, nut the rest of the harness matches their plugs?

But, this harness fits the motor and it has an S14a ecu plug...

I have paired the S14a diagram with all of the wires and plugs. Now I am trying to make the F4 work.

I do not know what the SCI TX,SCI RX, SCI CLK, and ACSD are for or what kind of signal they need. I think ACSD is automatic cold start device, but I can't find that on the motor.

The cooling fan relays are the same as the JDM, however things such as the Tach are not the same.

I made this... I am going to upload more as I go. I also have one that I have written on with what I have already decided to repin.

For the love of God can someone at least say It's S14a "search noob" or confirm anything I have said? I am at wits end...

ASCD = cruise control

SCI TX,SCI RX, and SCI CLK are probably for the CONSULT diagnostic connector.

I think you got a Kouki S14 Harness, Zenki S14's have the Blue Plug. hope it helps

You guys are win.... Thank you... I pulled out my book on ecu tuning and I found articles on the SCI. I am going to bypass it for now.

I have googled and 240sx.orged and zilvia and ziptied and nico'd for days... I have 15 tabs open right now... lol... ok...

Imma go with what I have done and if it works I am going to do a (thorough) write up.

Thanks again.

I thought so too, however the part numbers I found do not match. The ECM pinout does not have a wire for the EGR, but rather an OPEN pin, so not UK either.

it's most likely JDM, the JDM Kouki Engine's have no EGR

Yeah. I'm sure of it now... I got tripped up by the Zenki diagrams and the Euro spec diagrams I found.

It is for sure a Kouki harness... I have finished repinning most of it. There are "2 interior harnesses" however and I am looking into that. Because the F4 didnt have wiring for things such as TPS.

So I wrote out and decoded the whole F1 harness and found the missing wires in the 2nd connector. I am now extending and moving wires to the f4 plug and trying to decode the 3 or so A/C wires to make sure I have them pinned correctly. I'm confident I have this down now.

Thank you all for your help. I will post the aftermath when I get the rest of the engine parts in.

I'm already done.

I did all my research first, then I did the work all in a day. I'm sure this is correct. I am test fitting the lengths tomorrow.

i don't think the color matter's if the harness was made then it doesn't matter.

What I know will work as of right now:

-Fuel Pump Relay
-MIL
-Triple Pressure Switch (part of A/C)
-Wipers
-Water Temp Gauge (may need to use KA temp sensor because of gauge amperage vs jdm sensor)
-Tach
-Cooling fans (A/C)
-Speedometer (will be using KA sensor)
- Sensor power (for TPS,MAF,CAS,Knock,O2)
- ECU Power
- ECU backup power
- Start Signal
- Lower harness (power and tranny)

To be determined
-There are 3 A/C wires left, but in the diagrams I have they are only labeled as "A/C" not... triple pressure, relay, compressor clutch, etc...) So I am having to dig through EACH A/C wiring section in the FSM (tedious)
- Evaporator (2 wires both labeled evap >_<)
- Power Steering (this isnt necessary, but it pumps the idle at full lock to make the PS pump work harder and makes it easier to steer) (I'd like it to work, but it doesnt go through the JDM F4, it starts at ECM and goes to firewall (cuz RHD cars' ecus are on the same side as the sensor, so it doesn't need the F4 to go over to the other side of the car)
- Neutral Switch... (this one is important and shares the same issue as the power steering sensor above. The other write-ups online either leave it alone and the other person's runs it to the KA's EVAP pin??? hunh...?? If this is the (-) side I may just ground it ( I need to see if completed circuit means it IS in neutral or means it's IN gear.
- The consult port also has the SAME problem as above... :(... I might just bypass it...

What I don't care about:
-Consult
-Cruise
-ABS ( I did not see ABS on his car) if it has it... I will need the connectors from the US harness to hook it up which is not part of the US engine harness. There should be an ABS ecu as well.. Which I did not see in his car.
The F5 harness does not need to be repinned for ABS

I still need to stab the motor and fit the harness. I think I need to extend the O2 and MAF wiring and possibly the Coilpack :/

That's where I am right now...

I have found some differences between Zenki and Kouki harness that I want to list later too..

One example (and major)

On the Zenki F4 plug, there are seperate pins for injector power and coil relay. So you have 2 B/R wires that would need to be spliced together at pin 48 to have power to both injectors and coilpack.

On the Kouki, it has been done for you somewhere else along the line. I can't find where it is Y'd off, but it multimeter proves that it works.
