View Full Version : Help with running GT2860rs on stock SR motor

Well I just got a GT2860RS (DISCO POTATO) and I was just wondering if it's safe to throw on the turbo and just run it on stock boost. I'm definitely upgrading the injectors, maf, tune about a month or two after I do this.

I would just like to know if its safe to run it on stock everything for a little, I have a front mount intercooler and 3" exhaust. And s13 sr20 motor of course.

Why would there be a problem? If you are upgrading those parts then just wait the month or two and do it all together, I mean you have already been waiting.

Yes it's safe. I'm running an s15 turbo at stock boost just fine.

u can put the turbo on noproblem with out a tune.. anything under .8bar and your A/F will be fine

Thanks, its cause my turbo in there now is on its last leg and i need to change it asap, I just dont have the money for the other parts like injectors and a tune at the moment. I will in a couple months.
