Wow, that sucks that it can be that hard to get ahold of some companies. Not the first time I have heard of this.

yeah it totally sucks, my tune is so off i cant even drive my car, it leans out completely. and my motor sounds like a *ucking subaru. i dont know if its the tune forsure but my motor ran perfect before they got my ecu. now its going to be another ridiculously long wait, even for a response.

even though my first tune almost made my car blow up and they never email me back, i still think they are the shit!

I can tell you for a fact they are extremely busy. I speak with an Enthalpy tuner on the local forums and he's always got work. You aren't alone...

hrm. havent really heard anyone complain about an enthalpy tune, their tune cleaned up alot of issues with my setup. sucks to hear that they are hard to get ahold of, was thinking of a retune in the near future...

My cousin and I had both are ECU tuned by Scott. I also had two reflash's done as well. I tried to contact Scott about tuning my 35R setup but he did not respond to any of my Email's. I could care less about how busy he is. There is no reason for the shitty custmer service. In my opinion it was just a waste of money. Buy a stand alone from the get go and get a local tuner to tune your car. Your stand alone we grow with your car. I spent $500.00 for my intial tune plus shipping and down time i also had two reflash's done witch set me back $150 a pop. :fawkd:

Yea pfc is where its at:tweak:......

What was your gripe with nistune? Tuning the stock ecu is a really good way to handle most peoples setups unless they are down right extream, and nistune IS the best way to tune the stock ecu.

Yeah i ended up going with AEM and i Never looked back. Power goals usually just climb up and up.

When I had my tune done by Scott I had no problems contacting him, or him contacting me. The biggest problem I have is people don't understand he has a life and a REAL job. This is not the only thing he does, and I'm suprised that people have any bad things to say. I know for "first" time people Scott can be slow but on retunes turn arounds with zero down time? Hell he shipped me a redone ecu before I even mailed the other one back. I will agree that if you have goals that keep changing the tunes are just a waste of cash.

WOW... You sound like me six months ago. Look i defended Scott many of times on other forums. RS Enthalpy is his business! RS Enthalpy is his real job! The Checks go into his bank account. RS Enthalpy isnt the old company that it used to be.

The only problem I'm having with the Enthalpy tune is that it idles at 11.3-11.5 afr. I emailed him about it and he said thats normal...

I'm tired of hearing the "he has a life and another job" spill. I don't care what anyone says there is no excuse not to take 3 minutes and at least respond to someone's email. Anytime you pay somebody for a service you should recieve what you've paid for in a timely manner. I had the same issue w/ him but fortunately I finally got my new tune in and it's fucking great.

What ECU and setup are you running though man. I have my old tune that I can get rid of. It is tuned for stock compression, HKS 264 step 1 cams, stock intake manifold, Peakboost ex. manifold, 740cc, Z32 MAF, and T3/T4 50 trim. It is for a 63 auto redtop ECU, but I dont see why it wouldn't work for the 62 as well. Let me know if this will work for your setup.

I take the situation a few different ways. Im not sure if its a legitament business or just something he does to help people on the side with.

Does he have a website? If yes then it pretty much is legetiment enough for him to not have this excuse for a few reasons.
1. People will see this as a business that they are trusting with their money and expect to have customer support with.
2. On the website he can easily say "Ill be out of the office from date X to date Y" Or "Im on vacation" or "Im sick ect. "

Now if he is only reachable by email people DO need to take that into consideration.
!. He is doing this as a side job.
2. He is doing this to help out the Nissan community.
3. He may have things going on some days and may be hard to reach from time to time.

If that is the case people do need to get off his back sometimes before he decides yall arnt worth making tunes for in the first place.

----------------------------------------------------------------

Things everyone needs to remember is ordering a tune through the mail is never perfect. The only way to have a perfect tune is to have your car custom tuned. I have heard of him doing custom tunes for people though ( I guess they live close)
Also, If you plan on changing your setup often, first get ahold of him and tell him what your doing and get your retune in the works before you change your setup.

I've met the guy twice and don't know him personally (guy is hilarious though) but im in here to vouch that (A) He has a real job (B) The amount of emails he gets per day equates to what most people get in a month (C) if you are ROM tuning the same car 3+ times...:keke: (D) yes he does actual "custom" tuning for people as well
