Apexi headgasket size?

I'm about to buy an Apexi head gasket for my S14 SR20 and I was told I could get the 87mm one instead of the 86mm. The motor has stock bottom end and is still running 86mm. My question is should I run the 86mm or the 87mm headgasket? And I did a search on here, google and a coulple other forums and couldn't get an answer. So any help would be appreciated.

You can run the 87mm but I don't see a benefit. There might be something that I don't know about but I would just stick with the stock bore size unless you plan on boring. 86mm x 1mm or 1.2mm should be just fine.

It doesn't really matter. There are tons of people running 87mm gaskets on stock bore. I did myself until my motor blew and scored a cylinder. I was fortunate to already have the 87mm gasket because that is what I had the block bored to. Either one should be fine.

Wouldnt make much difference other than slightly drop the compression...wont affect diddly squat.
