my question to my fellow zilvians is....Is the oem oil pump strong enough to support a oil filter relocation and a oil cooler or is there a stronger oil pump out there that would be a better option...im in the middle of a rebuild and my engine blew due to low oil pressure...i beleive....any input is a plus

Yes the stock pump is just fine, you can modify but its really not needed. What part of Montana are you from? What part of the engine suffered damage? Glad to see a fellow Montanan on here. If you have questions PM me and I can help, I've built a few SR and my current SR is around the 450hp mark. I've also got some spare parts if you need anything let me know.

Also what is your goal with the car? Unless you are drifting the oil cooler also really isn't needed. You can beat an SR up pretty good without an oil cooler and no problems.

There is only 1 oil pump for SR's unless you go aftermarket external.... you have no options and in the end it works fine

Its not the greatest oil pump but its also not the worst for an OEM pump. You can mod it like stated or you can get an aftermarket pump but that shit aint cheap. Only thing thats coming into my head is JUN...
