Restorative Detail of a 1991 BMW 535i

Hey guys! Used to have a '93 S13 and then an 08 Nismo 350z, however both have come and gone. I still have love for Nissans and black cars (they were both black) which leads to my other passion...detailing in my spare time. Just thought I'd share this with you guys for your enjoyment purposes. It's the best I can do to stay with my Nissan roots ;)

This is a full paint corrective detail of a 1991 BMW 535i. This vehicle only has 94k miles on it, and is honestly in great shape, however the paint was another story. This vehicle was a painstaking 11 hours on the paint alone, including the buffing/polishing and sealant/wax. Fortunately the vehicle has a very hard clear coat, which makes it harder for me but also harder to scratch. With that said, there were very few deep scratches to take care of, and a lot more depth to be had. Enough of my babble, on to the pics which are pretty self explanatory.

Process:
Menzerna Power Gloss (PG) - minimum of 3 passes per section
Menzerna Power Finish (PF) - minimum of 3 passes per section
Menzerna Final Polish II - White pad following the PF
Optimum Poli-Seal Sealant
Pure carnauba wax

It's a lot of work and a fair amount more time than most S chassis guys want to do but that's the proof that it's SO worth it! Came out beautiful, grats on the killer looking biimer!

I wish my paint was anywhere near the condition of that bimmer's. I would have detailed mine to a perfect shine a long long time ago.

nice work on that man! i have been itching to do the same on mine. just dont have time and budget yet. lol. although i always make sure that DIY should be done in BMW repairs so my car would always be in good hands. :-)
