ok guys i have a problem with my 240. i bought a 5speed 91 240sx hicas a while back and it has many problems but one major concern of mine is the low power is putting out. its very loud and doesnt seem like its pulling. i did many test such as complete tune up, fuel filter, timing, etc. and now installed a walbro 255lph fuel pump install and it still ran the same. it bogs from the start, also cant really do a burn out, and when i step on it the rpm slowly raise so its hard to get the tail to kick out. also if i remember correctly the owner said that it has a 95 240 engine, but it also has a 91 automatic ecu. does it matter if i have a 95 engine and a 91 auto ecu??? any ideas?? plz help!!

if i do need a 95 manual ecu...anyone out selling one?? will buy if i need.

what the stamp number on the ECU. do you happen to know if it came off of a DOHC AUTO or SOHC AUTO..

check engine light stays on?

and define VERY LOUD, ALL cars are VERY loud when flooring it. and like HONDA's its not gonna be pulling much.

umm i dont know. the guy i bought it off from said that he got a quick replacement bc he got caught with the sr so he took it to a shop and got it done there but he thinks they got him the wrong ecu. no the engine check light doesnt stay on! even when i dont floor it, the car seems to be too loud for the speed its going. ill let you know the stamp number im going to check it later on. my engine is a dohc, we try to fit it with s14 dohc ecu and it didnt work ima try to using a sohc ecu.
