tranny re-install problem

hey quick question i just installed my new clutch and i flywheel but the tranny does not want 3 go back in, does anyone noe something i dont noe, any help or any websites someone might noe thanks

your going to need to rotate it a bit to put it in, spin it clockwise then bolt it in to close the gap

you have to line it up properly because of the spline. a lot of people have bad luck with trans. installs because they just keep trying to jam it in.

do what supreme said and try turning the trans. while putting some force so that it slides in.

some folks get lucky (myself, first time was the charm) while others it takes several tries and a few headaches.

yeah just sit under it holding it up there trying to shake it violently for a few minutes at a time and it should go in as long as u aligned the clutch properly

I always un-bolt the motor mounts and jack the motor up, the trans goes right in without rotating it.

that could work too, by jacking up the front of the engine to "tilt" it back

yea imma try that tomorrow then it has been raining all week and finally tomorrow it will stop. i found a forum on nico and some guy said 2 unbolt the cross members and do this and that and felt like dieing.

Have someone tilt/push the engine from the front, that should give you enough angle/room to push that sucker of a tranny in. That's what we did when we installed my tranny back. No need to unbolt the engine mounts, there should be some flex heck I even have NISMO mounts installed and we were able to tilt the engine back a little :) good luck!

Yea I am starting 2 think it is my clutch, because I got a 6 pluck and I was using the clutch alignment tool and on the stock one I had before goes in ever easy and smooth but the new one (spec) is a tighter it does go in just not as easy as the oem one

O just more thing, I used the starter bolts (because they are longer than the other tanny bolts) and I used some washers and I impacted that tranny in. it went from having like a 2-3 inch gap to now it only having like a 1/2-3/4 inch gap, I had tried 2 tilt the engine up but it hadn't worked for me, so today around 3 o'clock imma try again, if nothing I'm just going to take out my tranny and engine swap my other ka motor slap on my t04 turbo setup and call it a day, well my weekend but we see

This might sound stupid, but when I was doing my first tranny install I was having a hell of a time, then I jacked up the rear of the car to make it level. The tranny slipped right in.

noooo, dont do that! obviously the splines arent lineing up. If you force it you will break something.

Force is of little use where wisdom is called for. Don't try to force the tranny in there obviously if it's not going in then cramming it in there is just going to make shit worse. Use your brain and your hands that you were given and work that thing in there twist,wiggle and uh well you get the idea.
