i have a 93 240 with a red top sr, i just putt my built motor in the car and its on the same setup that it used to be and ran fine but now its idleing at 1500 and wont rev over 3k everytime i try to rev it it sounds like its on a 2 step and wont go into boost.
everything is making me think maf, so i cleaned it and checked it and its fine. any other thoughts would be helpful

ok well since i just searched and read about 20 threads to no avail im gonna ask again.
the setup:
red top sr
fully built motor bottom and top, stock lobe and duration cams
gt3076r
top mount megan maifold
tial 38mm wastegate w/15 lb spring
550 hks injectors
z32 maf with velocity stack
full 3.5 exhaust apexi from th turbo all the way out no cat
greddy type m front mount kit.
ok so heres the issue, i just got a new ecu that is supposed to be a mines and chipped for 550 injectors, 60 trim turbo, z32 maf 93 octane and bolt ons, the ecu is not a mines but it is chipped. it has a switch on it to change which map its running between an 18lb map and a 15 lb map. i just finished making my new intake and wiring up the z32 maf, i installed the ecu and fired the car up, the car idles just fine, but when you rev it up it hits about 4k and sounds like its hitting a limiter or 2 step.
the only thing i can think it would be is either a boost leak or the maf, i know the z32 maf is wired correctly, but i dont know if in the time the motor has been out of the car something happend to the wiring.
any and all input would be great. this is the first time the car has run in almost 2 years and im really trying not to have issues with it.

yeah i checked all of my intercooler piping, all of my vacum and boost lines, i also, pulled the entire wiring harness unwrapped it and check for shorts in the wiring. then i re wrapped and insulated it. i also checked all of my engine and chasis grounds. thats why im stumped.
i checked the maf as well, that is why im asking for help

ok so i replaced the maf with a brand new one for a z32 twin turbo, came straight out of the box, didnt fix anything.
pulled the front bumper and re checked all of my intercooler piping and nothing
i found the block fuse under the hood for the alternator was b lown so i replaced that. and still i have the problem. i checked all of my engine grounds and that didnt solve anything.
i pulled the codes from my ecu and the only one im getting is code 55 which says i need the consult cable and according to some people it means all is well.
i pulled the plugs and replaced them and still the same problem,
the only thing i can think of now, is possibly timing, turbo, or ecu. but the car has been doing this through 2 different ecu's now, and i dont think its the turbo because it seems like a limp mode where it will not let the car go into boost.
This is the ecu i am running and if anyone can translate japanese that would be awesome, im trying to confirm that it is in fact tuned for what i have been told it is tuned for.

Double check your timing...both mechanical and electrical.

sounds like a maf problem, are you sure the ecu it tuned for z32? on not a stock maf if so that could be a problem..

ok so the first ecu i was using was a stock sr ecu that i had on the car before, it works without problem and i was borrowing it from a friend, with that e cu stock injectors and a stock sr maf it did the same thing its doing now.
just now it a tuned ecu, 52lb injectors, and a z32 maf but still same problem, that why i think its timing

i pulled the entire engine harness, and found a broken maf signal wire, thanks for the input. i am also still trying to find someone who can translate japanese and tell me what my ecu says.

Take a not blurry pic of it and i'll read it. Right now, its like trying to read something underwater.
